Speed Up Your Morning Routine With Laser Hair Removal

One of the most time-consuming chores when it comes to a morning routine is shaving. Nobody likes waking up earlier to take the time to shave, but it’s a chore that, unfortunately, we can’t get around.

Actually, that last statement may not exactly be true. There is a possible way around constant shaving, and it’s called laser hair removal.

While this process might sound like some painful futuristic procedure, patients can hardly feel it, and there are significant benefits. If you’re unfamiliar with laser hair removal and tired of a constant morning routine of shaving, the following article explains the benefits of this procedure.

What Is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal is a targeted process that entails beaming lasers toward hair follicles to prevent them from growing back regularly. Although it’s not permanent, it may be a while before you need to go back for top-up treatments. The following list is important things you should know regarding laser hair removal.

1.     It’s Not as Painful as It Sounds

The light of a laser is sent through the pigment of your hair during this process. It’s true that light converts to heat, which damages the follicle and bulb, but the lasers have a cooling mechanism. A quick, sharp sting is felt initially but almost immediately subsides because of the cooling.

2.     Be Patient

It actually takes three to four weeks to see the full results, and you may have to go back for subsequent treatments. This is because different hairs are at different stages of growth, and it can take a few sessions to get them all on the same page.

3.     Shave Clean Beforehand

The area that’s being treated needs to be clean-shaven before your procedure. It’s recommended that you use a normal razor as opposed to the electric version. This gets a cleaner shave and leaves the hair much shorter.

4.     No Sun Exposure

The area that’s being treated can’t receive any sun exposure for four weeks before the procedure. This means no outdoor tanning or using a tanning bed.

5.     Extra Benefits

Besides ultimately preventing hair growth, laser hair removal has other benefits as well. It can also prevent ingrown hairs by making follicles grow straighter when they do come back.

If you’ve been complaining about your long morning routine because of shaving, you should consider laser hair removal. It may take a few tries, but the sessions are quick and will save you a lot of time in the long run!
