What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?

Botox is an injectable treatment that temporarily weakens muscle contraction. When injected, it will soften expression lines and wrinkles. Botox is most often used to treat crows’ feet, frown lines, glabella (anger 11 lines between brows), and horizontal forehead lines.

Am I a candidate?

You may be a candidate for BOTOX® Cosmetic if you have lines or wrinkles between your eyebrows, on your forehead or near the sides of your eyes (crow’s feet). Your provider will speak with you about your injectable options to determine if BOTOX® Cosmetic is the best option for you.  Free consultations are available, so you can be evaluated and given the number of units it will take to achieve correction.

What is a typical treatment like?

The level of pain associated with this procedure is minimal, due to the thinness of the needle used for injections. Some may describe it as being like a bee sting, while others feel nothing at all. If necessary, a topical numbing cream can be applied to lessen any discomfort. We recommend you not take any blood thinners approximately 48 hours prior to treatment to avoid bruising.

What are Dermal Fillers?

Fillers are used to temporarily correct the loss of facial volume. Lips, cheeks, jawline, chin, under eyes, are the most common areas.

What do we offer?

We offer Juvéderm Voluma, Volbella and Restylane and Restylane Life. Prices are determined by how much filler you will need during your consultation. JUVÉDERM® and Restylane are an FDA approved facial filler, designed to replace volume back in the skin. Great for depressions, scars, lines, wrinkles, and hollows. JUVÉDERM® is made of hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally produced fluid in our skin, and helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume back to its youth to smooth away facial wrinkles and folds.

Am I a candidate?

Made of Hyaluronic Acid, a water-binding molecule that naturally occurs in our skin, it will immediately add smoothness to your facial contours, and take years off your appearance. JUVÉDERM® and Restylane can be injected into the nasolabial folds (also known as “smile lines” or “parentheses”).

What to avoid?

As with all injectables, we recommend patients to avoid taking any blood thinners to lessen the risk of bruising. If you are on blood thinners, take Arnica prior to coming in for your appointment.
